International Friendly Business Expo

About the Expo:
New international faculty and scholars and some that have been around for a while, often have trouble adjusting to the U.S. banking system, don’t know the ins and outs of getting a drivers license and want to know how to buy a car, a house, get good insurance and other important issues.

The International Faculty and Scholars Network want to help incoming foreign nationals adjust quickly to their new environment. The organization is planning its first International Friendly Business Expo to introduce you to some businesses that have been helpful to others who have struggled through these issues on their own.

We are inviting these businesses and others who wish to participate to come to you on Tuesday, October 30 from 5 to 9 p.m., Memorial Student Center rooms 225 and 226. Booths will be set up so that you can visit with those businesses that interest you. Speakers and panels will discuss some of the topics that have been identified as areas of greatest need such as:

International Faculty and Scholars who wish to attend:
Refreshments will be served. In order to prepare well, we need to know if you will come to the Expo. You can let us know by emailing Linda Edwards, Director of the Office of International Outreach at Texas A&M University at
l-edwards@tamu.edu and put "Coming to the Expo" in the subject line.

Businesses who wish to participate:
For Businesses who would like to participate as booth vendor, please complete the appropriate application form below and return it to Linda Edwards, Director of the Office of International Outreach at Texas A&M University at l-edwards@tamu.edu or by traditional mail.

There is no cost to participate, however vendor space is limited and will be filled on a first come first served basis. The deadline for participating is October 25.
